About Johanna Payton

Johanna Payton has been freelance since 2002 when she launched her career with regular real life and celebrity features in 'Sneak' and the teen section of BBC Online.

Her fashion, lifestyle, travel and health features have since appeared in national newspapers and magazines including Grazia, Take a Break, Love It!, LOOK, The Guardian, Observer Woman, The Times/Sunday Times Style, Daily Express, Yahoo! Style it Light, Elle Online, The People, Sunday Mirror, My Weekly, More!, Woman’s Own, Practical Parenting, Maternity&Infant and Essentials. Online, she spent a year as eBay's UK fashion blogger and has contributed regularly to AOL's Parent Dish, Yahoo's Style it Light and iFashion Magazine.

Johanna now focuses on fashion. She has been writing the independent blog Fashion Detective since January 2010 and was appointed head of fashion at Style Compare in 2011, writing weekly blog posts, consulting with the company and acting as its media representative. She is also features editor at hitched.co.uk, the UK's most-read wedding website.

Johanna is also an experienced broadcaster, appearing regularly on BBC Radio London since 2010. She has also appeared as a guest on Radio 1 and Radio 1 Xtra.

A published author, Johanna has previously worked in-house shifts for Look magazine and writes advertorial features and commercial content for clients including IPC Media, iris nation and Seven Plus (for The Guardian).

As well as running vocational training courses with Olivia Gordon, Johanna is the London Metropoiltan University's fashion journalism lecturer.
